The Dance of My Delight

Hear the sound of music,

     the joyous melodies of singing,

     the clapping of hands.

Now it is time for you to dance!

Take My hand…I will lead,

     we will dance together back and forth,

Laughing together as we bask in the moment,

     creating memories that we will never forget.

The dark cloud hanging above you has disappeared;

     the rays of light have pierced through the darkness,

     for I am with you now.

I whisper in your ear only words of My love,

     as you twirl and come back to Me.

My eyes beam up with joy!

I am so proud of you –

     not just for what you do –

     but for who you are.

When you are in My presence,

     the darkness flees,

     thoughts of emptiness cannot remain,

     negative thinking is not of Me.

I love you;

     your life is to be treasured,

     beyond any value you could fathom.

Why would you ever think of yourself as anything less?

What has seemed bland is replaced with passion and fullness of life!

 What is stunted and lifeless is replaced with a desire to grow;

     the mundane and the apathy are destroyed…

We put these attitudes beneath our feet,

     and trample them as we dance!

Laugh with all your might!

You have a newly discovered joy,

     since you have sought and found Me.

Let us celebrate this day, a new beginning,

     for the old is gone, the new is here.

Hence take My hand, as I lead –

     and this dance will forever be called,

     “The Dance of My Delight”.

~  Psalm 149  |  Psalm 30  |  Ephesians 5:8-14  ~

This is an entry from my new book, “Write the Vision.” These entries are designed to speak to you in a way where you can draw closer to the heart of God by hearing the Holy Spirit’s voice through them. As you reflect on what is written above, you can ask questions such as:

  • What specific portions of this entry stick out to me? Why is the Holy Spirit pointing this out to me?
  • Do I view my Heavenly Father like this in my life? Why or why not?
  • What attitudes, beliefs, or habits do I need to give to the Lord since the ‘old is gone’ and the ‘new creation has come?’ (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Have a blessed week and thank you for your support!
